Two charged with Promoting Contraband at the McCracken County Jail.

Late in the evening of Jan 29th and into the early morning hours of the 30th, it was not surprising that Deputies assisted numerous motorist due to the weather and road conditions in the midst of the recent snow event. However some of the individuals Deputies encountered while patrolling the somewhat treacherous roads were not the average motorist in need of assistance.

 

Deputies stopped a motorist in the 2800 block of Lone Oak Rd at approx 2300 hrs. During the traffic stop an intoxicated passenger of the vehicle, 35 year old, Mindy Sullivan of Metropolis IL., became beligerant with the deputy. This resulted in Ms. Sullivan being arrested and charged with:

1. Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree

2. Prescription not in Proper Container

3. Alcohol Intoxication in a Public Place                                  

4. Possession of Open Alcoholic Beverage in a Motor Vehicle

5. Resisting Arrest

While being booked into the McCracken County Jail, it was discovered Ms. Sullivan had concealed marijuana an brought it into the jail resulting in charges for:

6. Possession of Marijuana

7. Drug Paraphernalia

8. Promoting Contraband 1st Degree.  

 

Deputies stopped another vehicle on Merideth Road near Cairo Rd at approx 0100 hrs. The driver, 28 year old, Josh Goheen of Calvert City, was arrested for: 1. Operating on a suspended License and  2. Possession Controlled Substance 1st Degree (Methamphetamine)              

While being booked into the McCracken County Jail, it was discovered Mr. Goheen had concealed Hydrocodone (Lortab) tablets in his coat and brought them into the jail resulting in charges for:

3. Possession of controlled subjstance (Hydrocodone)

4. Promoting Contraband 1st Degree
